USM Haller System

Modular furniture in timeless designs, that is the principle behind USM since its inception over 40 years ago. Furniture for the home and office environments which is created from just a few basic elements. A tailor-made solution that can be expanded or reconfigured at any time. Each piece of furniture allows room for individual versatility and creativity. USM Modular Furniture has its origins in architecture. Engineer Paul Schärer and architect Fritz Haller collaborated in developing a system of furniture based on modular architectural structures combining elegance and technical perfection. Today it is considered a design classic and has been acquired for the permanent design collection of The Museum of Modern Art in New York. A chrome-plated brass ball joint is the central element of USM’s Haller. Chromed steel tubes connect to the ball to form a stable framework in which the powder-coated metal panels (available in 11 colors) and internal organizational elements are mounted. Each unit is customized from the standard components to satisfy the individual user’s requirements. The standard tube widths, depths and heights are shown in inches. The complete selection of the panels are shaded and doors marked. All panels are available for the 10", 14" or 20" depths. Our Haller comes in any configuration or RAL color you desire.
